Everyone’s Invited: The Hello Kitty and Friends 2026 Stamp and Coin Cover

If you can only buy one of this year’s Hello Kitty covers, I think this is the one.

The Hello Kitty and Friends 2026 Stamp and Coin Cover from The Perth Mint is the group photo of the range. Hello Kitty takes centre stage, with her circle of Sanrio friends around her. We have it in stock now at $37.

Why the group cover stands out

The other covers in the range each focus on Hello Kitty alone or with one or two companions. This one brings the wider Sanrio family together.

Sanrio created Hello Kitty in 1974. Over the years she has picked up a long list of friends. The Perth Mint names several in connection with this release:

• Pompompurin, the pudding-loving golden retriever
• Keroppi, the cheerful frog
• My Melody, who doesn’t appear on any of the other covers we stock
• Cinnamoroll, the white puppy who flies with his ears
• Badtz-Maru, the cheeky penguin

That makes it the easiest gift in the range. You don’t need to know which character someone loves most. Their favourite is probably here.

The design

The coloured reverse shows Hello Kitty in her pink overalls and red bow, surrounded by her friends. The background mixes stars and dots, which ties it visually to the solo Hello Kitty cover.

Jennifer McKenna designed the reverse. Jody Clark designed the obverse.

In the cover

The coin is held in a printed card with a round window, so the design is visible without opening anything. An official Australia Post stamp sits alongside, postmarked on the first day of issue.

The details:

• $1 coin in uncirculated aluminium bronze
• 13.50g weight, 30.70mm diameter
• Issue limit of 5,150

Building the set

Every cover in the range costs the same and has the same issue limit. Some collectors will want them all. If that’s you, here are the others we have:

Hello Kitty 2026 Stamp and Coin Cover
Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll and Badtz-Maru 2026 Stamp and Coin Cover
Hello Kitty, Pompompurin and Kerokerokeroppi 2026 Stamp and Coin Cover

My advice is simple. Start with this one, then add the cover featuring your favourite character.
