The joke every collector gets
Coin collectors have a strange relationship with money. We’ll happily spend an afternoon sorting $1 coins by mintmark. But hand over a coin that might be worth keeping? Not a chance.
So the collection grows, and the wallet stays empty. In theory, the coins are worth something. In practice, you still can’t buy a coffee.
That’s the feeling behind this design. It’s short, it’s honest, and every collector I’ve shown it to has laughed in recognition.
Our own design
This is part of NumiStickers, our own sticker range for coin collectors. It was one of the first designs on the shortlist, and I’m pleased with how it turned out.
