H.M. Queen Elizabeth II 100th Anniversary 2026 1oz Silver Proof Coin
Queen Elizabeth II was born on 21 April 1926 and became queen in 1952, following the death of her father, King George VI. She was 25 years old at the time. Her reign lasted 70 years, making her the longest-serving British monarch. She passed away on 8 September 2022, and in 2026 The Perth Mint marks the centenary of her birth.
The reverse features five effigies of Queen Elizabeth II from different periods of her reign, each previously featured on Perth Mint coins. Jody Clark's 2019 portrait sits at the centre, surrounded by portraits by Ian Rank-Broadley (1998), Raphael Maklouf (1985), Arnold Machin (1966) and Mary Gillick (1953). Together they cover seven decades of the monarch's image. Australia's golden wattle fills the background, and four royal motifs are included in the design: St Edward's Crown, the Sovereign's Orb, the Tudor rose and the Sovereign's Sceptre. The inscription 'H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II 100th ANNIVERSARY', the 2026 year-date and The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark complete the reverse. The obverse carries the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III.
