Issued by the Royal Australian Mint, this commemorative release marks eight decades since the end of the most devastating conflict in modern history.
Coin Design
The reverse features a wreath of eight red poppies, symbolising the eight decades that have passed since the war’s end. Sculpted leaves frame the design, representing remembrance and renewal. The ‘C’ mintmark signifies Canberra, home of the Royal Australian Mint.
The obverse bears the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Daniel Thorne.
