The Perth Mint and Australia Post present the Ngana Nyitting – Black Cockatoo 2025 Stamp & Coin Cover, inspired by Dreaming stories of Whadjuk Boodja (Country) in Western Australia.

Coin Design

The reverse illustrates the Karak (black cockatoo) with Kurulbrang (kangaroo paw), Balga (grass tree), and the Kaart-Morda (Darling Range), reflecting ancestral stories of the land. Designed by Kevin Bynder, it also bears the Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

The obverse depicts His Majesty King Charles III by Dan Thorne.

Presentation

The coin is set in an official postal numismatic cover with a $1.70 Australia Post stamp, postmarked on the first day of issue and validated with Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity.
