Inside the Spider-Man: Comic Art Through the Ages Collector Box

Agoro's Spider-Man: Comic Art Through the Ages Collector Box for 2026 does something most licensed coin releases don't attempt. Rather than picking one image and striking it, it works through the way Spider-Man has been drawn over sixty years, era by era, and turns the shifts in comic art into the structure of the collection itself.

This is a beautiful collector's gift. Something to keep - whether you open it or not.

There are seven sets, and each sealed box reveals two mystery coins. Five eras are struck in 999 pure silver, two in pure gold, and the whole thing is issued by Niue.

Set one, Emerald — Swinging Silver, is the early style: bold, punchy, kinetic, all wiry agility and sharp poses, Spider-Man ricocheting between buildings and trading hits with Goblin and Electro. Ten designs, 250 of each. Set two, Topaz — Urban Reborn, brings the heavier inks and deep blacks, New York loud and close, Peter Parker running out of ways to dodge adulthood. Ten designs, 150 each.

Set three, Ruby — Modern Momentum, is where the art opens up. More air, broader sweeps, full-arc swings and corkscrew flips. Ten designs at 50 each. Set four, Sapphire — Modern Metamorph, pushes in on faces and masks, characters caught mid-transformation with energy and shadow coiling around them. Ten designs at 30 each. Set five, Amethyst — Mythic Futures, goes cinematic and painted, the point where the myth becomes legend and new Spider-Men step forward. Ten designs at 20 each.

Then it narrows sharply. Set six, Onyx, is Spider-Man against Venom — two designs, five of each. Set seven is The Chase: Venom unleashed on the iconic comic cover, struck in pure gold, one design, mintage of one. A genuine 1/1.

That rarity curve is the appeal. Opening a box, most collectors will find Emerald or Topaz pieces, and those are good coins in their own right. But the small chance of a Ruby, a Sapphire, or something further up the ladder is what keeps people opening boxes. And somewhere in the run, exactly one person ends up with the Chase.

If you collect Marvel, or you enjoy the format where the outcome isn't decided until you open the packaging, this is one of the more thoughtfully built releases going.
